Racism is anywhere in the world, and it is not limited to the impositions of a particular community. There are always various pressure factors on different minorities in Europe. Do you think that a solution to the problem of racism, which spreads to social life and sports and actually expresses much more than anti-blackness, can be found with the current education level of the world societies?
Education is the best medicine for future generations. It’s very difficult to educate someone that has already an opinion and thoughts. Racism is not the thing of 2020. Racism is an ugly part of the human race. It is unbearable, ugly; it sucks. Basically, whatever determines an opinion through color, race, and things that cannot give you an opinion, it’s not acceptable. I am proud of my roots. My mom is from Croatia; her mother was from Montenegro; my father is American; the son of an Italian diplomat married an American lady. I was born and raised in Italy, and I will never accept racism. Basically, the racism is pulling down the development of the world. My education helped me to understand being different is only good, not bad. But I don’t know if the education now is enough to change these racist generations.

What is happening in the States… I thought it wouldn’t become worse, but it is worse every day. If you ask me if I know how to improve this situation, I don’t know. It is about values, what are the life values of the person. This thing should end. I don’t know-how. When there are unsolved problems, big problems the only thing that is possible, I think, to put smartest people on the earth together and try to ask them for the suggestion. Racism is now entering our lives every day. Everybody has racism in their genes because you judge people before having the parameters to judge, and we have to fight that. And fight in human nature is the toughest thing which we have to do it ASAP.
