“I can say the [BCL] was really flexible with the dates, the format, and the groups. Because of COVID, they split the groups into two, and the percentage of qualifying was similar. In a shorter competition, when you make mistakes, you can be out of it. There are pros and cons, for sure: Less travel, more time between the games… We didn’t really feel the pressure of Europe as far as fatigue. We didn’t feel tired because of the double games. I can give credit to them because they managed to do it without any problems, without canceling games. After all, all the teams had space to prepare.

One of the eight teams that qualify will be the host of the Final Eight. It’s a tradition. So, I hope we can qualify and turn this strange season into an amazing season. We have the character; we’re hungry to play well. If we can make it, maybe we can help the BCL make a good decision to bring the Final Eight to Israel.”
