”Zeljko Obradovic was definitely number one”
Let’s talk a little bit about you… Who has been the most inspiring coach while growing up in your career?
There have been so many. To name you one: Zeljko Obradovic, he was definitely number one, but you can learn from everyone. I was lucky enough to know, to be a friend of Zeljko, Jasikevicius; there are so many good coaches. Naming one is an understatement. For example, I really like Guardiola. He is not a basketball coach, but I consider myself similar: we are talking about different levels, but he too is attentive to certain things.
So, you also watch football?
Of course! I watch all sports.
Can you describe your coaching style/approach in your own words?
Demanding, creative, adaptable. Those are the merits. And the flaw that bothers me most is losing: I hate losing more than I am happy when I win. So, I think this thing needs to be changed. I really like basketball: I think it’s a beautiful game, I like to live and think about basketball.

”All coaches are a little crazy…”
And if you weren’t a basketball coach, what would be your profession?
Maybe a serial killer? All coaches are a little crazy… I’m joking. No killer. I would say recruiting.
Makes sense… You had a short-term experience with the Greek national team. Would you consider this again? How was the experience with Greek NT?
I don’t know. It depends on the opportunity. It was a very educational experience. I understood things, I saw things, I learned a lot. It was short but very intense.
It is different, right?
It is a different sport; they are different things. In the national team, you are a manager; in the club, you are a coach.
